Plastic Surgeon Certifications
When considering plastic surgery it is best to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Some surgeons have onsite surgical facilities and a team to care for a patient if an overnight stay is required. For more invasive procedures that might require a longer stay, a surgeon may use a hospital's facilities. Some surgeons also offer benefit packages for patient's who would like to combine their plastic surgery and recovery time with a vacation. These benefit packages typically include the cost of staying at resort for a certain amount of time to allow patients who have traveled to recover near the surgeon. Board-certified plastic surgeons have extensive training and experience in the surgery field. After obtaining a medical degree, most surgeons complete 5-8 years of surgical training before beginning their own practice.
